I was able to get past this by editing the the full boot grub command line using, 'nomodeset' and continuing this enabled me to install and setup, once i had done that i thought i would be able to get the drivers by installing AMD catalyst using I am having a problem with Dell laptop I installed Linux Mint 20.1 on, It has AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 as far as i can see its a driver issue because when first installing the Linux from a boot I kept getting the black screen with flickering cursor. Hi their guys please let me know if there was already a topic like this.
